NRPC launches a web resource dedicated to the pipeline project

The NRPC (Nashua Regional Planning Commission), Mason’s regional planning authority, has launched a web page that is dedicated to the Northeast Energy Direct (NED) Pipeline project: http://www.nashuarpc.org/hot-projects/project-pipeline/.

The page offers both regional and local information, and also includes numerous links to various resources for the project. The multi-page map that outlines the project’s impact on Mason is located here: http://www.nashuarpc.org/files/4714/1936/0628/

The web page launch was announced in the NRPC’s most recent newsletter on Dec. 29:

“The NRPC has developed a new webpage as a resource for communities seeking information about the Northeast Energy Direct Pipeline Project. The page features a collection of resource materials organized by source and a link to NRPC’s LiveMaps, our interactive mapping app, which will soon include the proposed pipeline as a data layer. For maps and data requests, please contact Sara Siskavich, GIS manager at 424-2240 x21.

In addition to providing mapping and data resources, NRPC is organizing an educational workshop to be held in mid-January that will provide an overview of the New Hampshire Site Evaluation Committee and how NRPC and local communities can participate in the process.

The NRPC Commission is forming a policy subcommittee to coordinate between municipalities and to examine the overall policy implications of the project. The charge of the committee and membership will be clarified in January. For more information, contact Kerrie Diers, Executive Director at 424-2240 x12.
