Drug Take Back Day to be held on Sept. 26 at the Mason Police Dept.

Drug Take Back Day in Mason, NH, will be held on Saturday, September 26, from 10 AM until 2PM at the Mason Police Department, 38 Darling Hill Road. Residents are invited to return their unwanted, unneeded, or expired prescription drugs for safe disposal, with no questions asked.

Medicines that languish in home cabinets are highly susceptible to diversion, misuse, and abuse. Rates of prescription drug abuse in the U.S. are at alarming rates, as are the number of accidental poisonings and overdoses due to these drugs. Keep loved ones and friends safe by cleaning out the medicine cabinet, the primary source of entry into illicit drug use.

The Conservation Commission stresses that drugs flushed down toilets eventually enter the water supply, so let us protect this precious resource as everyone is Mason has a private well.

This event is co-sponsored by Mason’s Police Department and Conservation Commission as part of a national program by the Drug Enforcement Agency.
