Zoning Board needs new members

Uncle Sam Wants You–
To Volunteer for the Mason ZBA

The Mason Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA) is short a few members.

The ZBA has several functions related to planning and zoning. We hear applications for special exceptions and/or variances from the zoning ordinance. We hear appeals from decisions of the Planning Board. We also hear appeals from decisions of the Building Inspector and the Board of Selectmen. The ZBA has not been a very active board in the past year, probably due to the excellent work of the Selectmen and Building Inspector, but obviously it is important for the ZBA to be in place and ready to hear matters when needed. That is why we need you to join the Board now.

If you would like to volunteer for the Zoning Board of Adjustment, or want more information about the Board to help you decide whether to volunteer, please call Pat Letourneau (878-3657) or the Selectman’s Office (878-2070).
