Mason Public Library awarded a grant from the Libri Foundation

Mason Public Library shared the following announcement:

We are celebrating the good news!

The books have arrived from the Libri Foundation of Eugene, Oregon. The Libri Foundation donates quality children’s books to public libraries a total of 80 books includes an additional collection of new math and science books. The additional collection is generously donated by Bill Strawbridge and Meg Wallhagen.

The Libri Foundation BOOKS FOR CHILDREN program will add many new titles to the junior collection and children’s collection. The books will have special book plates located in the front page of the book and have a red “L” label on the spine of the book. On the bookplates of the regular collection, Libri’s anonymous donor will be listed as “Friends of the Library”. This donor provided the $350 of matching funds that was needed for the grant.

On the bookplates of the Math and Science collection, Bill Strawbridge and Meg Wallhagen are included in the donation message.

The books are ready for checkout. They will be located in special boxes in the Junior and Children’s Rooms. Books are checked out for 2 weeks.
