Winter storm warning in effect through Tuesday evening

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning that remains in effect through Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Forecast: Heavy snow and sleet expected. Total snow accumulations of 7 to 12 inches and sleet accumulations of around 1/3 of an inch. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. Travel could be very difficult due to low visibility and snow covered roads. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes. Strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines.

To be granted a driveway permit, the landowner must complete a driveway permit application and submit it to the Highway Department where it is reviewed and approved by the Road Agent and Fire Chief.
