Mason Public Library closed tonight

Due to the weather conditions, Mason Public Library will be closed tonight. The library re-opens on Wednesday, December 13, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Hours for the rest of the week will be Thursday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. -12 p.m.

Reminder: Local winter clothing drive closes on Thursday

The Souhegan Lions & Greenville Lioness Clubs are holding their annual winter clothing drive.

During Mason Public Library’s open hours, you may bring blankets, gloves, boots, coats, snow pants, socks, sweaters, and scarves and put them in the collection box. Hours are Tuesday and Wednesday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., and Thursday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Mason Public Library is collecting items until Thursday, Nov. 16, at 4 p.m. All items collected will be distributed to area families and children in need. Library accepting donations for the Old Home Day book sale through Thursday

Thursday, September 7, is the last day to donate your gently used books and DVDs to Mason Public Library for the book sale on Old Home Day.

You may bring books and DVDs to the Library during open hours:

  • Tuesday and Wednesday – 9am to 4pm, 6 to 8pm
  • Thursday – 9am to 4pm

Please, no textbooks, almanacs or dictionaries.

LEGO exhibit at Mason Public Library now through Aug. 29

LEGO fans, come to Mason Public Library in August, and explore the 10,000 LEGO pieces as part of the Summer Reading Program “Build a Better World”™. Children can come to the library and construct LEGO creations. There will be larger LEGO Duplo blocks in the Picture Book Room for younger children to use.

The LEGO exhibit is available through Aug. 29.

Grades 6-8 summer reading titles available at Mason Public Library

Mason Public Library has extra copies of summer reading books for students in grades 6, 7, and 8.

For students entering grade 6, the library has all titles available. Note that students entering Grade 6 cannot borrow books from Wadleigh Memorial Library in Milford until they get ID cards from Milford Middle School in September.

For students entering grades 7 and 8, the library has many titles available now. Students in these grades can also borrow titles from Wadleigh Memorial Library using the library cards that were issued last fall and are valid through September.
