The Temple Dance Band will celebrate the 1930s tonight from 7-10 pm at the the Mason Elementary School, 13 Darling Hill Rd., Mason.
Listen, dance, and enjoy some great music from the era of the book “The Grapes of Wrath” by John Steinbeck. Refreshments will be served. This event is free as part of a grant from the NEA BIG READ program.
The NEA BIG READ is a program of the National Endowment of the Arts in partnership with the with Arts Midwest and the New Hampshire Humanities Council. Other contributors include Crotched Mountain Foundation, the Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the Merrimack Chamber of Commerce.
The BIG READ involves programs and book discussions of “The Grapes of Wrath” in seventeen libraries in southern New Hampshire during September and October. Go to fireseedalliance.org for programs and book discussions information.
