The following activities take place on Halloween night:
- General trick-or-treating in Mason is from 6-8pm.
- Mason Congregational Church is hosting “Tailgate Trick-or-Treating” from 6-8pm. Trick-or-treating takes place in the church parking lot (with overflow parking in the Library/Police Dept. parking lot). Each car serves as a stop for children to collect candy.
A couple general safety reminders:
- If you plan to give out treats, be sure to give a clear indication at your home, whether it be decorating your mailbox, if your home is not visible from the road, or lighting your main entrance.
- If you’re driving on the roads during that time, be vigilant when you see stopped vehicles as there may be children nearby on foot. If you’re escorting children by car, be sure to use your hazard lights whenever your car is stopped on the road.
