Mason Roadside Cleanup is anytime from mid-April through mid-May. Choose the time that works for you.
Charlie Lanni of the Mason Conservation Commission is coordinating. The big blue bags are available at Charlie’s Auto, 575 Jackson Road, right outside the front of the garage. You can call Charlie at the shop 878-3637 to let him know where and when you can do your part of the cleanup.
When you’re done, you can leave the blue bags by the roadside for Mason’s Highway Crew to collect, or bring them to the dumpster at Mason Highway Department.
Many thanks to all who help, and especially to A-1 Towing for generously making the dumpster available for free!
The Mason Highway Department has a dumpster that residents can use to dispose of the trash they collect during road cleanup. Large items and tires should be left beside the dumpster.
The Highway Department is located on Depot Road, and the dumpster is near the gas pump.
Thank you to the volunteers who join the effort to clean up our roads.
Mason residents are always permitted to come to the Highway Department on Depot Rd. to get buckets of sand for personal use. However, you may not take salt from the salt shed; the salt is reserved for use by the Mason Highway Department only.
Please be patient and wait if town trucks are working there until they are done as they may not see you. Safety first.
