The town offices and Mason Public Library will be closed on Wednesday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.
Mason Public Library will be closed on Saturdays in July and August, except for August 25th, which is the 250th anniversary celebration. Saturday hours resume after Labor Day on Sept. 8, 2018.
The summer reading program “Rock and Roll to the Library” begins on Wednesday, June 27, at Mason Public Library. School-aged children are invited to enjoy stories, songs, games, and crafts. Both age groups (preschool – grade 1, grades 2 and up) will meet at the library at 10:30 a.m.
Summer reading program dates are June 27, and July 11, 18, and 25.
The Highway Department will be grinding the paved portion of Darling Hill Road on Monday, and possibly Tuesday if necessary. The road will be passable, but motorists should expect delays. Anyone doing business in the town offices can use the parking lots designated for the police department and school.
Paving should follow within a few weeks.
